So... what is everyones personal preference off the break?

Do you run and gun, Stand there and lane, Run like a wacko hoping not to get hit, flail your arms around running and wipe anything that comes at you?

Both run and gun and book it to the snake.

I play woodsball so usually to far apart to do anything but run off the break. But when we have few people and play smaller areas I usually run as far up as I can.

Get to your primary alive, unless I'm home. The only time I lane is when my primary is home

I generally like to book it to my bunker. There's not much use in me running and gunning when I'm trying to get as far up with a good angle as possible.

I play a lot of corners, home, and stand ups, so I either lane, then move, or run and gun to my bunker.

I was always snake corner, my favorite spot on the field.

Run and gun off the break dive and fill later.

Well since I haven't replied.

I try and run while Crying, holding my gun with 1 hand shooting blind at anything and covering my face with my other hand. It's worked since day 1.

One thing I like to do (this is in rec-ball, not tournament level play, don't try this there) is if I'm taking snake is move to a spot where I can see where everyone's going from behind cover, then once everyone is just getting comfy in their bunkers, run like a crazy bastard for the snake. Not only can it keep you from being hit, but it gets you knowledge of where the opposite team has started off, if you have a green light down the snake side, but if done right, the other team actually won't see anyone jump into the snake, takes some finesse to get right but damn its fun.

One thing goes through my mind before break......RUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUN! Until I start taking serious fire, then dive in a bunker.

Fat and slow if I make it to the bunker With my pants still around my waist its a good day

Stop worrying about how you look, and start worrying about how you play. Get out on the field and play paintball the best you can, not stand at home in front of a mirror trying to figure out if your jersey matches your eyes.

I normally get posed to run like hell off of break. Gun pointed back, 3 point position with my ass so high I look like a porn star. Then, as soon as the buzzer goes off, I lunge about 2 feet ahead of me, fall on my face and cry until the game is over.
This method helps me look agg in pictures, while saving paint

I kinda play it by ear. Who am I playing against, layout of the field, how tired I am, what am I shooting that game.

Mostly I play pump so I tend to hold my fire and move up till I know I Going to hit what I am aiming at. Avoiding gun fights when I can. But to be honest snap shooting battles even though I have a pump in hand is soo much fun.

That being said when I get back to playing after my injuries. I most likely will be taking up a back position of the break and long balling with my A5 flatline or apex2 OR my RT ULE Mag with Apex2 as simply put running won't be happening for a while.

In speedball,I have always ran like a MF to wherever I'm going. But in woodsball,I usually like to wait a second or two before I start running to get an idea of who I'm going to be shooting at(regular or renter)

I'm not sure anyone should ever have an "off the break style." Some positions require laning, some require running and gunning, while others require that you just get into your bunker safely.
So really, you should be doing all of them. Whatever the play/situation calls for.
