So I wanna buy a sub 300 dollar pump gun, used or new. What should I look for? Im not at all new to pump play, 3 years ago all I ever used when I was starting was a phantom or a ccm borrowed from a friend. Ive had the most experience with the Phantom, so should I go with that? I really dont want to get a 'cocker pump yet, especially used, since I want to make that for myself later on, maybe in a few years or so, since I want that to be personalized. So any suggestions?

Honestly if you are willing to go as high as $300 it would be worth the extra $100 to save to get a used T2.

Yep used snipers are nice (empire kind and otherwise).

But it really depends on what u want. Do you want a stock class or tourney worthy pump. Its your choice on how this goes down

Umm stock class is fun, and ive played that the most, but will I be at a significant disadvantage(not counting that im playing pump) using stock class? The empire sniper I can do both if I remove the screws.

Your call, it's more of a nuisance than anything.

Snipers I think would be less efficient than phantoms so 12g wise phantoms gets you more shots

If it's really about budget, and you're still new to pump, check paintballgateway.com if you want to buy new.

If you want to buy used, look in the BST or ebay for autococker sniper pumps (sniper just means mechanical converted to pump).

You could save a bit more and get a used CCM gun, which are basically the Egos of the pump world. The Empire Sniper's main allure is its attachments that it comes with: the barrel kit, stock class stick feed, hitman mod on the pump handle.. I haven't heard much raving about the actual gun design or anything.

I traded my old invert mini for an autococker sniper, bought some CCM upgrades for it, and a small barrel kit. Saved a bit of money, and when I get my parts later today it should shoot pretty great.

I would go for the cci phantom, make sure it has a bottomline kit and a top feedneck, just pop a gxg 50rd hopper and a 13 3000 tank and you'll be set

If you are against a cocker for now, then this setup is good. But,I recommend the APP 50 round hopper over the gxg one.I use a gxg and don't mind it,but I have used the APP before and it performed a lot better. Also,of you are looking for a pack the PBmafia 5/50 pack goes well with 50 round loaders.Likewise, the PBmafia joyride pack is good for stock class.

A used sniper(empire or not) would blow the others mentioned out of the water.

I actually own an empire sniper, they are not as bad as people make them ou to be. I would highly recommend it. The auto trigger lever should be removable and with the included stock class attachment you could have the best of both worlds. If you do decide to go that way you also won't have to buy 12gs or a new hopper. I use a spire and a 68/4500 on mine.

They are good used. They can be had for a little more than $100 usually, but there are alot better options in that range.A trilogy pump is about the same price, and shits all over the AKP.I suggest a custom sniper,as they are fun to build and can perform to YOUR standards(hence the "custom")

You will be at such a disadvantage with a SC gun, I actually didn't have fun playing SC when I was playing against all electros.

I just say get a CCM'd sniper, relatively cheap and better than the phantom, and I have owned both.

And don't buy a new WGP pump from paintballgateway, you're getting ripped off.

My thoughts too, unless you are dead set on buying brand new, there is no reason to get a KP.

I would take an AKP over a trilly anyday. Smoother pump stroke, easier maintenance (if there is any for a pump).

Also has a shitty bolt that breaks over time, mostly plastic, and with a bottomline it becomes somewhat more shitty feeling.

Pump stroke is barely smoother, and with aspring kit the trilogy is a TON smoother.

Trilogy is stupid simple, the only thing that sucks is getting the internals in the bottom tube out the first time.
