What plastic to use in custom oled grips?

I'm about to purchase a vice with virtue oled and I wanted to mod the g6r grips but I have no idea what the material used for the window is made out of. Can't find anything online.

Also if anyone has any guides on how to tap the frame that would be awesome.

I believe clear grips and the like are made from lexan, but you could probably just use any clear plastic, since it probably wouldn't have to stand up to much abuse.

I'd try Lexan, any Lowes in the area should carry it. And they can cut it roughly to size for you to save some time. Working at lowes has its benefits because I can take leftover pieces for free
