How can you tell which board is in an Axe?

If im not mistaken Kee changed the boards right?

yes, one is called optimus and one is called shockwave. They are lasered into the board so find either word on the board

The shockwave allows you to program without taking out the battery pannel and is slightly more waterproof and is the newer one.

Waffles got it right, the name is lasered onto the board. Honestly, I don't see what the huge deal is. Programming is not that big of a pain, and unless you're really screwing up, I don't know how much water your gun will be in.

The main thing I like about the shockwave is that it doesn't reset to factory setting as soon as the battery dies/disconnected
