Things used for paintball that can also be used in the household? Re-balls! Strung together re-balls make great anal beads. They also double as garland during the holidays.

Just because you smoke doesn't mean you are going to suck at a sport. It really doesn't have that big of an effect on you.

They willstill be able to run that mile if they are in shape. Ask someone out of shape who doesn't smoke if they can run a mile... Smoking really isn't the issue until later in life when you have been doing it for years and it builds up.

It really just depends on the person, I guess.

When I was in the military, I knew guys that smoke a pack of Marlboro Reds a day and breeze through their two mile run. I've also known guys who've never smoked in their lives and struggle to make it 500 yards without puking. I used to smoke, and I was a mediocre runner. When I finally quit, I was a phenomenal runner (i'm not sure about now..), and I just felt better in general, so I'm sure it affected me personally.

Yeah it really does depend on the person, my grandpa smoked since he was like 12, and he lived to be 92

I know people that smoke while they play! what a bunch of dumbasses... i once saw this guy who smoked run like amazing! and then the next time we played and i saw him ( around 2 months later) he looked like he gained alot of wait... look older... teeth all yellow... and he could run like he used to... if you are heavy and you cant run a mile but your are atleast a healthy watch wat is going to happen to the athletic smokers

You would be surprised at what some smokers can still do. Some of the guys in my unit smoke like chimneys and still run 2 miles in under 13 minutes.

It just depends on the persons fitness level and how the smoke and tar affect their lungs. I know it used to screw me up when I smoked more than a pack in a week.. But it doesn't do that to everyone.

I don't think anybody is in any way advocating smoking, just pointing out that there are alot of other factors (genetics, physical fitness, etc.) that affect a person's performance.

I certainly don't want to start spouting about how smoking is bad for you everybody should quit. As a former smoker, I cannot tell you how extremely annoying that was (not more than loud fake coughing though,..). 99.9999% of smokers know exactly what the risks of smoking and the benefits of quitting are, and still choose to continue, and other people are probably not going to change that.

very hard for me to quit.... but 2 years later..... :) im good.... and yea when i used to smoke I could feel the difference in my lungs when i ran and whatnot.... i have friends that smoke all kinds of things and still ball at whatever sport they play.

Personal fitness level, genetic predisposition to lung issues, quantity/duration of use, skill as a paintball player, overall health... these all play a factor. I know a lot of really good paintball players that smoke. I know a lot that don't. This is a real correlation-causation issue.

One thing I would wager, though- really talented players who smoked and then quit would almost certainly improve on the field. I don't smoke, but I can't see it being anything but a detriment to performance.
