Why is it easier to unscrew with an on/off?

I've been playing for a while and have learned a lot but I'm still uncertain about this. How come when you unscrew your tank from an on/off ASA while it is in the off position, it's easier than unscrewing it from a standard ASA?
Is it because the pin is putting pressure on the threads?

When you turn it on, you depress the pin and the air is pressurized into the marker.
When you turn it off, it's depressurized, making it easier to remove.

When it's off, you don't need to fight against the output pressure of the tank pushing against the threads.

I always wondered that. I remembered with Tippmann's it was a fight to get them of, but with any gun with an on/off asa, I can easily unscrew the tank with one hand.

The pressure is behind the tank oring, but that pressure is still pushing the tank. The threads are the friction point between the asa and tank where that difficulty to remove is.

Cuz there isn't 800psi smashing the tank into the back side of the threads?
