I'm looking for poppets but I would love one that's smooth and quiet, for a poppet of course. I would look at spools but I think I need reliability on the level of an Ego due to my laziness.

for 800 you can get anything, you won't be disappointed. and if you are, you can trade. i'd start with a g6r too. spool valve i'd say dm11 although most people would disagree lol

Is the Dm10/Dm11 series reliable enough and alright on maintenance?

Get an Axe and trick it out with these (of your choice)

Board (Empire Shockwave is recommended)
Bolt (Lurker or Boss)
Feedneck (Empire)
Barrel (Lurker and Deadly winds are good ways to go, maybe the rumored Empire freak system)
Lurker poppet when it comes out
Critical Trigger

Depending on your barrel it will be $700 (Eigen Barrel) or $800 (Deadlywinds with Boremaster)

Not really at all. I would shoot an axe over anything else... and I do. I used to shot a luxe. Got rid of it for an axe. Then my friend did, then my team captain did. 4 of us used to shoot luxes now 4 of us shoot axes. A fully upped axe will put other guns out there to shame. I've had compliments by owners of a Luxe, Vice, G6r, Demon, Creed and almost any highend you can think of. Empire made a $460 super marker. It's easily #1 in midrange and only beat by highends in things like stock features and ergonomics.
