I am in need of a backup mask to my profits an I have been looking around and have heard many good things about the proflexs. Are these a good back up mask? Keep in mind that I just way back up ones, so I am only looking at $55 or less for a mask, new.

I did the same thing as you and bought proflexes as my backup mask and ended up using them all the time and put my profits away as backup. It's amazing how much being able to breathe helps you play paintball.

For some reason I was never a huge fan of the Proflex. They always sat funky on my face and the soft years were really uncomfortable.

The breathability is great though. Im starting to think I had a pair with bad foam lol.

Yes, or save up and buy a pair of E-flexes.

I suggest buying a new mask strap so you can make a dual strap mod for your mask.

I agree with king-Jurzy , I love my E-Flex, almost everybody with the profelex stepped up to the eflex, they just swapped out the flex part.

I don't know anybody that did that, lol.

Definitely get Flex's, they are THE most comfortable mask on the market for most people. However, for some unknown reason, many do not buy them.

Most of my friends bought them...all but one. Honestly I'd skip the Eflex as visibility isn't as good.

Once you have them you will hate your profits.

I love my Profits more than my e-flexes, that will change when I do a double strap mod.

I don't understand how people can stand to wear them while playing competitive paintball. I'd pass out, to be honest.

I can't hear, communicate, or breathe with them.

No idea as well.

I play equally as hard with both masks but I end up sweating more in my E-flexes, I do like the breathability on the E-flexes.

I used to think dual straps for masks was just silly, until one day I had an extra strap and screwing around made my Proflex dual strap... needless to say I can't wear a mask without dual straps now.

Nobody I know did that...

I honestly think the E-flex is overpriced.

Same here, there's only 1 or 2 people still wearing original proflexes

What is so special about dual straps?

You know what they say about dual straps:

Spoiler

I like them because it is a reassurance that my mask will not fly off my face.

Or get a grill as a back up, I still regret getting the eflex over another pair of grill :|

I have tried on all of the masks out there ( a couple of exceptions, like grillz , no one carries them ) the Eflex is the best mask for breathablity HANDS DOWN ( Most important thing when it comes to masks for me ;asthmatic 230 lbs front player lol) , and the E lens system is the easiest system to use and they have the most comfortable foam.

Ok, I see all of you guys have preference, especially towards the EFlex. But I will remind you, I currently own a profit, which is also like $100, so I do not want to spend another $100 on anothr mask. The reason I asked abou proflex is because they are like $55.
Bythe way, tried grills and didn't like them, so I'm either stuck with proflexe or something inthat price range.
