I just got my hpa tank filled to 4500psi, and left it in my car for 2 hours at a temperature of 3 degrees celcius (37 F). When I got home, the guage moved to 3400psi! Whats going on? I listned very closly to the tank and heard zero leaks. Does temperature affect the air inside the tank?

Yes, temperature affects pressure. When air cools, it reduces the pressure. This is why all tanks seem to lose pressure after a fill, because the warm fill is reaching equilibrium with the surrounding environment when it sits.

Maybe not, if you filled at room temp and it got to nearly freezing. If you want to check for a leak just stick the bonnet under water and look for air bubbles.

The most I've seen mine drop is 500 psi, but it could of just been the cold..

i lose about 500 psi from the hot fill effect. and my tank when i leave it in the trunk of my car (i'm in utah and we have 4 degree Fahrenheit nights) it drops about 800 psi. you are good as long as there are no leaks
