gog enmeys are mech and therefore sort of sucky to an expereienced player
I'd like to think I'm a somewhat experienced player, and I can do quite well with a mech Cocker or a pump. There's nothing "sucky" about them.
Mechs, as the ones known to the common casual player that maked up a good majority of the sport, consists of spyders, tippmanns, and clones of both. Maybe they have heard of an autococker, but those are old and are misinterpreted by newer crowds. Automags are almsot unheard of, and everything else is an obscure world. To experienced players however, we like two types of guns: Guns for serious or competitive play, built around solely winning, and novelty guns that are unique. The enmey for me was a novelty gun, and my attention whoring gun. To a beginner/monthly/occassional player, its just a mech, and if it isnt an electro by any means, then it =\= good.
I know this first hand. I go to the field weekly, and theres groups of people from my school who come out and play every few monthes or so, for an ocassion and whatnot. Theres some who go a tad bit more often than others, and own their own gun, which is a tippmann or spyder. They always wonder why I sometimes take out a mech, or use a borrowed pump, because it seems too "sucky and cheap" for a guy who plays as often as me.
