I have a camera backpack that I enjoy for small shoots, but more often than not I prefer my quantaray bag. Holds 5 lenses and two bodies, all my filters, cards, batteries, and cords with room to spare.

I bought this Crumpler bag in Manchester.
Holds all my current gear and a laptop. Nothing special and it's big as heck.

When you get a battery grip, you will need these special fad camera bags if you want a laptop too.

If I'm out and about, I'll have on my Thinktank modular belt with various lens pouches and bag. If I'm having to trek somewhere to setup for a known location, I'll just have a camera backpack. The modular belt system is great if your having to stay on your feet and swap out a lens, while the backpacks are much easier to carry a large amount of gear over a longer distance.

That's why I deviated back to my traditional bag. I feel like there was a lot of wasted space in that bag, and it only held one lens.

this thing is pretty neat, you can throw whatever you need in it (camera wise) then throw it in an existing laptop bag you may have, comes with dividers too :D

leaning towards this a little...seeing i have a backpack that i really like.

I think my old bag was a Kata.
Great bag for camera gear. But no laptop pace on the one I had.

I better check those out. You can never be to careful when it comes to this sort of thing.
Don't buy cheap bags.

Getting a battery grip will greatly decrease your options on bags.
I found this perfect bag in England, but I'd have to take the battery grip of my D7000 to make it fit.

That's why I'm the owner of possibly the fattest shoulder bag in history.

I use a Lowepro 400 AW. Why?

I like the idea of being able to carry my equipment very close to me, comfortably, and with a pretty good security system. I load up, go to wherever I'm taking pictures, unpack, and shoot.

I personally think it's crap for the type of photographers who carry their camera, take it out for a few minutes and the put it back away. Nothing wrong with the photographer's style, it's just such a bitch swinging the backpack around and unzipping it (the design is flawed, because the belt is attached to the zippable flap, the backpack will drop about 5" downward (or more if you carry heavy shit like me) which opens the possibility of stuff flying out).
I only play paintball so I can tell dirty jokes.
