So I saw the new JT Impulse from Paintball Extraveganza. (sorry if its not spelled right)
and i want to know some of your opinions on the marker. Is it going to be an improvemnt on the old 09 Smart Parts impulse? or is it going to be just another JT peice of junk? (NOTE: i have no intention of buying this marker so dont try and "sell" it to me please)
I think its going to be just another JT crap gun. JT hasnt made a quality marker since ive been in the sport (early 2008). They have always been cheap spyder clone stack tubed blowbacks. So JT hasnt really made me think otherwise. Now i dont really like the idea of no macroline on guns from a tech standpoint. I like having the macroline so its easier to find leaks. But thats just me! i know some people LOVE no macroline. But even though i dont like the macoliness system i still think the fact that JT added macroline to a platform that was originaly designed with no macroline speaks volumes for how cheap it is.

Thats just my Opionion! I would like to hear yours!

I hope you don't think $1050 price tag is cheap

Not only that its GoG that made this and being released under the JT brand, it's like a PL marker of a sort

No..... Im saying every other gun they have made has been cheap. So why would anyone want to buy a gun from a company making bad spyder clones? not to mention that its off of an old platform that never really had a chance to prove itself because smart pars went under. But to answer yout question no $1000 is by no means cheap. I wasnt talking about the Impluse being cheap i was talking about all of JT's other guns.

And If what you said abut GoG making the marker then they should have been the ones to sell it. As soon as you put "JT" on anyting other than a pair of pants, jersey, or mask, people are going to be skeptical because of their history making markers.

I would really want to buy it for the sole reason why you dont. JT has changed ownership under kee, which in turn they hope to bring the JT brand under the light. JT just by itself did not produce the gun, but kee released it under its name for the sake of improving JT's image. I believe it will be a great shooter, and the macroline is not much to worry about. Be open to changes; don't expect a company who is known for making crap to want to have that image. Hence, Kee saved them and Kee is putting an effort to make JT the well respected, well known brand it was before.

What if the Vanquish or the Ressurection was released under the JT name and the Impulse was released under the Empire name? What would you say in this post if that happened, despite both being owned by Kee? It wouldve been along the lines of:
"I believe that Empire really has a chance of proving a well shooting marker that smart parts failed to fully prove."

I'm fairly certain that Kee only used the valve from the 09 Imp, and changed a bunch of other things. That being said, I have no problem with it being released under the JT name.

No, that never even crossed my mind, all I know is that it is a balanced stacked tube poppit based on the 09 Imp from Kee released under JT, and I really don't care who designed it.

All I'm hearing is:
"Unheard of gun sold by a company notorious for shitty gear making a comeback back an even more notorious company hoping to make a comeback yet is still hated by the ignorant"

And all I'm thinking is:
"HipsterGun HipsterGun HipsterGun must have HipsterGun before it becomes mainstream at my field."

Rule of thumb: Never buy the first generation of anything new.

There are quirks and flaws. They may not yet be known yet, but very rarely do companies "get it right" out the gate.

So if it was made by GoG does that mean Kee owns GoG as well?

How many of you have owned an 09 impy, or much less, how many of you have even shot one? If this shoots as good as the old one does, I want one. I mean, I would really want one.

Holly shit I didn't Think this thread would cause a shit storm hahaha. But I still say (regardless of who designed it) it was bad marketing to make it under jt. That's like me creating the EGO and selling as a Spyder. You all would do the same thing I did when I seen it was under JT.

I saw it as an opportunity and, if I had the money, I wouldve bought it. For many reasons, one to support JT and its comeback, and two to have a gun no one has or thought of getting.
Not brand judging the item.

Im more judging the quality. If jt is making their come back then good for them! But they should have started smaller. Not go right for a $1000 gun
