I picked up an autococker trilogy sport from craigslist for $40. I am new to paintball and not to familiar with the air requirements specific guns require. I am looking into getting a 3000 psi tank to use on this gun, as i have read about c02 being a no no. I dont want to spend alot of money, so a 4500 psi tank is out of the question. Can someone point me in the right direction for a tank to purchase? Will a 3000 psi tank keep up with a mech autococker?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Check out Guerilla Air's 3000 psi tanks. They have nice tanks and they are fairly cheap. You could always try to find a used 4500 psi tank on the BST on here. You may be able to find one out of hydro for cheap. You just have to spend around $20 to get it re-hydro.

U,ll be fine with a 3k tank, youll just get fewer shot vs a 4.5k tank thats all.

We shot 3000psi tanks on cockers for a lot of years before the 4500's hit the scene...You just get a few more shots per fill on a 4500 is all.

co2 is just fine through a mech 'cocker as well.

Co2 is fine in a stock mech cocker, as long as you dont have a good quality reg. Assuming because you got it for $40 that it doesn't, so Co2 is fine. You just dont want to "get on" the trigger too much, this is only to prevent freezing of the gun.

However, HPA is superior in the long run if you ever plan to get an electro. Also considering a HPA tank is only like $30 more, just save up and get a HPA tank over Co2
