I would like to point out that almost NO ONE uses any form of packing material. I have traded or bought 12 guns in the last month. Only 1 of which had any sort of packaging, the other 11 were just thrown in a box with the barrel and whatever else to rattle around and ding everything up. It's not that hard to wrap the gun, at least, in some newspaper. It just takes a few minutes to protect what you're shipping from damage, please do so.

In addition to taking a few minutes to pack the item properly, I'd like to give a friendly reminder from your friends up here in Canada.
For bigger ticket items (say $100 or more), used or otherwise, please use USPS(Express or Priority) and declare the item as used and/or as a gift when you fill out the green declaration form.
Invariably UPS will ding you for the use of their expeditied in house brokerage (or whatever excuse they give nowadays) and the buyer will end up with a huge additional charge at the door. There have been times where I specifically asked for USPS and the seller will use UPS because they think it's just as good. Well it's not, believe me.
Take the $50 COD charge on an $80 pair of Angel pants I received from a shop in TX the other day for example, on top of the $25 shipping I already paid for what I thought was going to be USPS Priority. And that's definitely not the least I've been charged from our friends at United Parcel Smashers. And yes, I understand that some businesses do exclusive business with couriers. If they do, I just look till I find an etailer that offers a USPS option.

By the time all is said and done, even EMS Express turns out to be far cheaper and faster than UPS Ground, so please state what shipping option you plan on using as well so we can have a heads up and not get bent over at the door.

I would only recommend USPS when shipping to Canada no matter the value.

How would you recommend I package a tank? The guy who shipped it to me wrapped it in a plastic bag and it got kinda banged up. Not good :/ Anyways, Your input would be appreciated. Thanks.


And btw there aren't any packing peanuts available to me

A tank should be packed in a cardboard box, wrapped in bubble wrap and then allow enough room (acouple inches or so) for peanuts.

Should make it anywhere safe and sound.

* if peanuts are not available...then use styrofoam.

UPS Stores sell packing supplies and will also box and ship.

How do you find out how much money it costs to ship something? also how much money is it to pack it at the UPS store or something?... im new to mailing..
