Set the LPR to flush first , then give it about 1 turn in. Leave the dwell settings same as they are stock.
You won't be able to tune your gun right before you've actually played with it for a while and gotten a sense of how it performs as is.
That's what most people get wrong. They "tune" and "upgrade" their markers before they haven even tested them properly. How do you know what it needs if you don't know how it shoots?
The 05 ego shot great in 05, it it still does today.

when the ego came out, one of the biggest benefits it had was the fact that it never broke paint. that still holds true today.
dont fuck with your settings unless you have a problem. otherwise you might cause problems on your own.

well, it does kick.
Also, i cant stand anyone with an ego 5/6 shooting a lane next to my head. I have sensitive ears.

Kick and soundsignature are two completely different things..
Also, more mass to absorb the novement of the reciprocating mass = less kick
