Yep I've made one.

Hint: Most milk lids are the exact same diameter as the barrels on those, so you can shove a milk lid down the barrel, and potentially put anything you want over it and it will shoot it out with a shotgun like spread. I've used paintballs, airsoft pellets, rocks, etc. with this trick.

i put a wad of paper towels down the barrel then loaded it with paintballs. It's like a shotgun

yup, pretty simple to make. we used to use hair pray and ignite it for the propellant but after a while we switched to pressured air. it was mad out of pvc so it could potentially hold up to 150 psi but our compressor could only go up to 90 but it still launched a whole potato across our yard (when i say yard, its over 2 acres of land) and well into the corn field across the street. weve had some accidents with it though. shatter my moms windshield, almost had my face get blown off (when we lit the hairspray, i didnt put the back cap on all the way, and a large flame shot from the back) and my brothers friend was shooting it on his shoulder and the recoil sent it back and the coupling from the air chamber to the barrel caught his chin. he had to get stitches

we made a few, the largest sounds like a mortar going off and we have not been able to shoot it at the max range and find it, it shoots well over 500 yds easily, we shot a shotgun spread of paintballs out of it and i chrono'd it at like 250 FPS

Hello all- I just joined and landed here chasing potato cannons or most anything propelled by air. I build air powered, lets call them food shooters, the most current build is a breach loading potato/lemon cannon of all stainless, copper and aluminum. The cannon is on utube, using search on the home page type in hhhh 0001 two hands cannon if you would like to see it. I will try to put some pics. on here using my smoke signal internet.
