That is very bad news, but with that I hope no one turns up the pressure on ME! Hopefully I don't get an incident like that

I bent down and farted in some rentals's face.
I think that's a win.

I know it's situational, but on the topic of kids buying expensive gear. I know two kids that got jobs cutting grass for two summers to save up for paintball gear and bought stuff that everyone on the field wanted. I say good for them! I know people are referring to the spoiled kids that get expensive gear handed to them. Just figure we should remember that not all the kids had the gear handed to them.

Saw them there last week and guess what they did it again i ran up and bunkered them. told the ref, and got their spnsor ship yanked. so its all fine with those guys. they are not allowed at the field anymore. And got a nice case of paint for it. but just gave it to a new kid at the field. glad they are gone.

To TechDP on the first page, you sure as hell do not shoot back at them with upped velocity. Judging by the story, I'm sure the sponsored players are probably tight wads and have really old lenses. 1 shot to the mask, which are really only meant to be hit at speeds slower than 300 FPS, on an old lens like that would probably break it and cause a shit ton of damage to that person's face. And if you're douchey-enough to use monsterballs in the situation, I guarantee they'll go blind.

Well, this week at my field we saw that there were a group of 5 kids that it was their first time. and something stupid that they did was all of them bought rotors, the most expensive tanks, and masks, and they had egos, bob long g6rs, and one had a geo. well it was all their first time at a field, and we said we would play them, well another group of regulars join in and we start playing. after the first maybe 2 minutes, we heard someone either crying or something, so i go over and the bunker across from me i see one of the kids holding his neck and head. so i drop my gun and rush over to check him. when i get there i see one large mark, bleeding on his neck, and his head is bleeding. so i tell him to keep his mask on and i rush over to the ref. games is off, and we go back to the resting area. Someone had their pressure way too high so i see the other guys over at another bench ( the regulars) switching their pressure. so after the crono we go back out. next round all the kids are on the ground whining. game over, almost all the welts and marks were bleeding. so the kids call their parents to pick them up. they all said thier selling their gear and getting out of paintball. I felt terrible even tho it wasnt my fault seeing kids walk out dissapointed. and the regulars start laughing. I know how it feels to be shot with the pressure all the way up, but being over shot like that is terrible. so about 5 kids are out of paintball because of cheaters.

I actually had a similar experince like this it must have been the spring of 2010 and I was just getting into paintball. I only knew woodsball style rules so I assumed that I wouldnt get bunkered or shot from 5-7 feet away. My friend and I and some other randoms were versing a paintball team and they were all wearing matching jerseys and stuff (they took it pretty seriously, like I hope to do) but one guy ran around behind me and shot me in the knee and bare in the top of my head (yes i was wearing a mask) from about 5-7 feet away if I had to guess. I was bleeding outta my head and after that game one of the kids on their team chronoed and I wasn't sure if it was the kid that shot me because they all wore identical jerseys. He chronoed at 420ish fps. I was then scared to play paintball again and recently im finally gettting back into my favorite sport. Note: i wasnt using expensive stuff just my own 98c and mask were the only paintball equipment I had

Yeah my field if they know your group or you play as a team against a team the refs let you rais the fps to 290 otherwise my field has to stay under 275

That really sucks though you should have walked up to them and told them to forget this day and come back and play you and a group of friends and let them win it's always sad swing people leave the sport

if i were there i would have given the kids tips and stuff on how to work their guns and how to play efeectively.i also would have let them beat me so that they would feel good and it would boost their moral. when i was new to the sport everyone was nice to me and did all that stuff for me! it really gave me a good sense of how nice the players are! thats what keeps people coming back, thats how people have fun!

what comes around goes around people, treat others with repect and they will treat you with respect!
no need for everyone to be a douschebag about it, so what their spoiled. doesnt mean they shouldnt get to enjoy the sport just like anyone else!

My field is 85% rentals so nothing to bad happens. One of the kids dad works there, so theres an 11 year old kid with an Ego, jersey and pants, expensive pod pack, i4's, 50/45, Rotor, I mean everything...

But the 15% who have there own stuff are the guys who go twice a week, all day...

That is really sad. i'm glad my field isn't like that. Our limit is 285, and all players are honest about chrono'ing.A lot of players are newer, or just extremely causal ballers (Tippmanns, sweatshirts, just normal dudes), and the guys who have mid to high end gear are all very nice. I've met two guys who were mean to me one day, but I played with them at a big game and then we became friends.

What's the problem with parents buying ur gear? Sure they're spoiled, but if rich parents want to buy expensive stuff for their kids, is that a crime?

the only time i had a problem with somebody on the fild was when i was playing at a local field here in minnesota (air assault) and one of my friends had just gotten back from playing in the wold cup in orlando and he called me and wanted to play so i went and his team was there so we started to play and i shot one guy from the team twice and he wiped both times and he moved up and he let his marker hang out and i shot the shit out of it for a good minuet and a half and he was PISSED but he didn't wipe for the rest of the day. compared to this that is nothing im just glad the kids gave it a second try and the dick heads where kicked out.
paintball for breakfast. paintball for lunch. paintball for dinner. paintball wet dreams. repeat

I did notify the ref and owner the ref said talk to owner, but the owner at the field said he couldnt do anything. because when someone who is sponsered by the field like they were can do anything. i was shot in the back of the head with the velocity turned up and told the owner. but since they were sponsored they didnt do anything. yeah terrible owner. but its the cheapest field around. and sometimes its the co owner who is there and does stuff.

man that sucks the first time i played i got bonus balled by a bunch of pricks like that. but they got kicked out. you should probably try a dif field

Quite a sad story, even though the guys got caught in the end. Those kids bad experience will influence their opinion of paintball for the rest of their lives. No matter how much people hate kids that get super high-end gear handed to them, in the end it benefits us all if it benefits the paintball industry.
