Okay, not going to lie, this game is going to be a way of life for a while so might as well start a sticky about it.

So, one thing I wanted to bring up is this, Dead is Dead play....

It's pretty popular for Bethesda games, Fallout NV and 3, Oblivion, Morrowind etc. Basically the concept is you play it as an RP with a story, basically posting up every couple of days about what you've done, a journal if you will. You set restrictions for the character such as only being allowed to use certain weapons, spells, armours or even no armour, pure mage, etc.

Number one rule being Dead is DEAD, if your character dies for whatever reason it's now dead, you cannot restart from a prior save, you delete all saves associated with the character and it's now dead. Gives more depth to the gameplay and there is actually something at stake if you die rather than just losing 30mins of progress.

No midnight release from the store I pre-ordered from. I did this on purpose however, first off I don't want to be up till 1am. Realistically I don't want to be up till 3-4am playing lol, so 4:30 tomorrow I leave to go get it.

Oh, and here's a nifty bug, put a bucket/basket/kettle on someone's head, they can't see and you can commit any crime you want lol.

I had enough of DiD playing hardcore mode in Diablo 2.

Yeah, I had enough of that stress playing insane on Dead Space 2.

Nothing like kicking so much ass you're inventory is full with all the ammo you could want and enough med kits to heal Anakin in the lava pit only to be insta killed 3 seconds in to the last boss fight.

I got enough of that playing Demon's souls and Dark souls.

Note to self: stay the fuck away from dragons, they will eat you. I gotta admit though, I'm not a fan of the "favorite" system, I wish you could just quickly switch between weapons and spells like oblivion.

Am I the only one shocked by how small this game is? I was sure it was a messed up install with only 5.6gigs. Every game that comes out these days seems like it is above 10 gigs. CODMW3 isnt even open world, and it is 14 gigs. I could put this whole game in my RAM. Not complaining, but it just seems odd. Must be VERY well optimized.

Xbox 360 only requires 3.8gb for an install.
From what I have read with the new engine they are running Bethesda has a new way of compressing the game.






I will say that I am not a fan of the 3D map. I want a flat map.

I don't think I'm going to try DiD. I've played terraria on hardcore mode and died in the first 30mins.

Also should I get this on the computer or xbox?
