so ive been attracted to photography for a long time but i never had the money to do it. Now that i have a "job"(mowing lawns) i can afford it. To get to the point, my budget is 700 so if you could link me to website that would be great! Also as a side note I live in Canada so canadian websites would be good.

I recently got a new DSLR from them and love it.
I suggest getting a used DSLR and getting another lens. Do you want a video model?
We can also help you pick out what you want.

The Cannon T3 is a good option as the new opening model for Cannon it takes great video as well as solid pictures and is a great upgrade from a point and shoot for $500!

how much is a t2i again?

you may be able to get one, if you like canon..

try out the grips, nikon grips deffinatly feel different from canon grips.. for me canon seems to be wider and more open, and nikons are like designed for small asian hands (no offence anyone)
it may help you change your thoughts a bit..

if you want better video options, deffinately get the t2i over any nikon.

I actually feel the opposite, I have big hands, both my grandpas were carpenters, then my dad did that when he was young, so now I can almost palm a basketball, and I find canon grips are too uncomfortable compared to Nikon.

Again, it's all preference.
And I think the T2is are selling for $600 now w/kit.

stretch your budget, this is awesome
or even better
one important thing is building up a set of lens, and having good ones, so this is a good deal
and finally,
probably what I would recommend aside from the D90 on the Nikon side:
D3200 w/ 18-55
and
50mm 1.8
But what will you be shooting? do you care about video? we need to know.

If you compare Nikon's lowest to Canon's lowest they both feel small. Try a D3 or a D700 and see if you still think they're designed for small Asian hands.
Canon cameras feel like cheap plastic. Even their top cameras do that. With the exception of the 7D wich feels fairly good.(I love the 7D)

And the T2i is not in any way better for video than the D3200, D800 or the D4 from Nikon.

I'm not hating on Canon, they make solid cameras. But they feel like plastic fantastic combared to Nikon cameras. And that's an opinion I'm not alone with.

I could go on with why I chose Nikon over Canon, but I don't think anyone in here would care.
Fuck it I'm gonna do it anyway.
Nikon has superior focusing in their cameras, in pretty much their entire line. Their ISO performance kicks the shit out of pretty much anything compared price wise on the market.
Nikon is known for their notoriously strong build structure. I'm not sayin Canon's are weak, but Nikons are just better. The menus in Canon cameras are messy, really messy. You'll get used to it but there is no logical sense of order in their menus. Even with that, Nikon has tons of more stuff to do in the menus, even their cheaper cameras. But everything is organized logically.(There is not 2 different shooting menus with completly random stuff for example.)

Did I also mention that Nikon's cropped sensor cameras have a bigger sensor than Canon's? :D
The bigger the better, more dynamic range.
