This might sound noobie to you tech guys but how do you get a Youtube video (preferably the song) to windows movie maker?

You find some third party website to rip the video through then use the audio in movie maker.

Or if the video is under CCL than you can download it and export it.

Mp3 is an audio file, mp4 is video.

behind the www. in a youtube video, type the word "kick"

and choose the windows media player format
