So here is the problem my legs are beat to crap after playing. I got shot there the most out of all the parts of my body and I kneel a lot. So the question is should I get paintball pants or knee pads? I don't have lots of money and I don't want to constrict my ability to run either. If I have to though I can spend more.

Paintball pants first, then the pads.

Pants first, then buy knee pads. You can buy volleyball knee pads, they work just as well.

Slider shorts can help if you want to buy them.

If you decide to get slider shorts just go to a sporting goods store. No need to spend 40 bucks for "paintball" sliders.

Pants give leg/groin protection not just knee. Plus comfy. You'll probably get 90% less welts with PB slightly padded pants.

Best of all is combined with boxers you no longer get the self-induced wedgies on hot summer days.
