I recently watched Cockerpunk's latest video on youtube, to summarize it briefly, he was asking for any donations for the new 1200 fps camera that he was looking into. This Camera would benefit all of the viewers of his videos because then he would be able to capture ball spin, loaders, and other aspects of paintball to gain more knowledge.

If everyone on techpb alone were to donate a dollar or two they would easily be able to buy this camera. If you donate you could think of it as an investment, you would be given tons of information, instead of going and spending your spare change on a candy bar or two.

I know that I have other finacial issues on my table at the moment but I'm going to drop a nice chunk towards it seeing as I kinda gave Gordon the idea on getting a highspeed camera. I contacted a few companies for price quotes and ended up with the $5,000+ each.

Since then Ive been going through my papers on my desk trying to find Adams, from Mythbusters, email address in hope of seeing if the show has any used ones they'd be willing to sell.

Trust me any help you can give us towards the camera will be greatly appriecated aswell as making it easier on our (Gordon, Bryce, Mike, and myself) wallets. I'm taking money out of whats set aside for my wedding this summer aswell as selling of some gear that I just dont have a need for.

I'll post a link to the PunkWorks paypal account as soon as I get it linked to my bank account. At this point you could put money in it - but we couldn't get it back out :)

I'll post up this afternoon when I have a chance to get it up and running.

please hold off - but the address will be PunkWorksPaintball@gmail.com

why are you getting the casio. I thought you wanted a high speed camera. 60fps wont get you any where near that.

The casio does 60fps in FULL HD, which is impressive alone.

it does 1200 fps in 336 by 96 resolution, which is fine for 'hai guys what's going on in here' work

esp if we mark out paintballs and such when looking for spin and things like that.

I don't know if the camera you are looking at can be accessorized, but can you get a long lense for it as well? In addition to the close up stuff, I think it would also be useful to get some some projectile trajectoreies as well. If you have a long lens and record from a distance away, it will make the distance traveled seem shorter and more of it will be in focus. In other words, the ball will be in focus longer and we can see the path it follows in addition to the rotation it has after it exits the barrel.
