I found some pants I want to buy off someone who is almost brand new to the site and has no feedback. The deal on the pants is really good, but how can I make sure I can trust them?

You can only go so far on feedback and the like, so the best thing you can do is to make sure you pay through the PayPal "goods" option which gives you protection in case you get scammed. That's why it's one of our rules that people can't ask to be payed under "gift," because that leaves no protection for the buyer.
