Unequaled quality, meticulous engineering and impeccable design are just a few of the reasons why Proto is the first name in paintball. The new Proto SLG Ultralite includes patented Spool Valve Technology, which allows the gun to operate more consistently at lower operating pressure giving you 1500 shots on a 68/4500 air tank. In addition, the new multifunction, self-lubricating Force Button allows clearing the bolt without tools, acts as a cocking mechanism, and prevents unsafe disassembly of the marker when gassed up. The SLG Ultralite comes standard with the new Hyper3™ In-Line Air Regulator featuring higher flow, more consistency, and smoother velocity adjustment. Regular maintenance and cleaning are easy with one-tool-one-screw bolt breakdown. The Proto SLG Ultralite consists of solid construction using hardened steel sear, aluminum body and bolt, and a composite Ultralite frame and aluminum trigger. All this adds up to a tournament grade package you can afford.

Its made of the same material as the original slg trigger frame.it wont break unless you put it under very high stress.and when i mean high stress i mean almost as much as a aluminum frame.
"It happens on a random Monday, coming back from an event, or late on a sunday night, right before you get on the plane and you're about to be frisked for the third time. You're driving, you're flying, you're sitting in a airport seat with boys from the team. You're drinking stale coffee trying to stay awake, you're explaining the fat welt on the side of your neck to a confused stranger or a best friend..." - Matty Marshall

The composite frame it just like the aluminum ones. I think this is the best $300 gun. The 09 PMR is gonna be higher than $300, probably $300>.

You know guys, composite frames aren't necessarily weak... it depends on what the composite is, really. But, my old Automag has a CF composite frame, and to prove its strength, Tom Kaye apparently suspended a car from one attached to a crane years and years ago to prove its strength. If it can hold up a car, I don't think a bad dive will ever ruin it.
