Stock regulator doesn't screw in all the way because of the fitting hitting the trigger guard. Is there an adapter available? I was hoping to find a slight angle forward design.

Not sure about an adapter.

What you'll need to do is open your grips, remove the battery, and then carefully unplug the battery harness and solenoid from the board (be careful because the prongs on these wires are fragile). Then unscrew the two screws holding the grip frame. Once you've removed the grip frame. Screw your regulator in....and then reassemble your grip frame again be careful with the wires.

Or if you want just buy an aftermarket reg like CP with the fitting at the bottom of the regulator.
