i was wondering if you tap a small hole in the bolt where the eyes are in the bolts foward position can it act like a self cleaning eye system and blow the eyes clea on every shot

Well, in theory you could yes. But since the bolt itself has some play in it, the holes may get misalligned and then you will just be flowing air into no where.

What I would do is see where your bolt goes over the eyes themselves, mark this area, and the drill 2 holes and make a shallow clannel all the way around so the air can flow completely around.

Your marker will lose a bit of efficiency.

what if you damage your eyes if there is to much pressure flowing on your eyes out your eye covers, plus the smaller the hole, the greater the concentration of pressure
