So, I'm looking for a marker.
I'm not playing anything crazy, like walking super fast although I can use that when needed.

I'm mainly going to play hopperball, like pump but it's electronic. Why? Because I can play limited paint AND play airball if I wanted to.

So here are the main characteristics I'm looking for.

-Easy to maintain (i.e. poppets and why)
-Efficient
-IN MY GODDAMN PRICE RANGE, I DON'T WANT YOU TELLING ME "DURR, DUDE SAVE UP FOR A MACDEV CLONE, SHOOTS TITLAZORS"
-Will consider lower priced options such as the eXTCy but I want a reason on how it contends towards other markers stated, and no, price is not a reason.
-Other raisenz on why you think it's a good marker for me to consider.

Stuff I've considered, if you're having a brain-fart, you could choose from this list. I do encourage your own decision though.

-Used Axe
-Used MacDev Droid
-Used SL74 ($500, whatever)
-Used older Ego
-Used Protege
-Used Vice
-Used Timmy

Go with any old Bob Long gun. They usually have upgrades, already a high end super gun, cheaper than newer super guns, shoot the same, and look badass. There are usually tons of them on ebay, you just gotta be patient when looking for one. You'll be happy with any Bob Long gun.

Bob long guns since I think the company is the only one who will still help if you have problems with an older marker. Not to mention there is a vast community over at http://www.intimidatorowners.com/ if you ever need some support

Used Bob Long.

Marq 6 can be had for like $300 - $350ish depending on upgrades.
Timmys can be had for less even. But a Protege should be excellent.

Get a vice if you want a poppet. Get a Marq if you decide you don't want a poppet.

Alright, so Bob Long Vice or Protege for me then.
Spools are too much maintenance for me.

Marq is an inline poppit. Gets about the same efficiency as the Vice. Maybe a little less. I can shoot 3/4ths a case and have like 700psi left.

Like a Mini/Axe?
I guess I'll give the Marq 7 a try. Thanks.

What about the Alien markers?
They seem like a small company but I've heard nothing but good things from them.

I'm deciding to rather go with RC, since I don't paintball as much as I used to.

Thanks for the help anyways.
