What are you looking for in a marker?

I was debating between the two earlier but I opted for the ego 11.

Reliability: Ego, you don't have to pressure test it like the G6R and you can throw it in your gearbbag week after week without maintenance
Efficiency: The G6R is the most efficient marker currently manufactured
Ergos: Personal preference but the G6R is macroless
Maintenance: Ego is much easier to disassemble as the G6R has body halves with seals between them

I would personally go for the G6R. If you don't mind maintaining your gun a little more, it will shoot better and handle better than the ego. But, if you are playing nonstop and need something that can keep up no matter what, but will sacrifice shot quality, go for the ego.

Price: Right now there is no price difference, they are the same price to buy. You do however get better packaging and a few extras with the Ego compared to the G6R, You get allen keys, lube, full color manual, and a durable case. The G6R is also much easier to maintain with a pressure tester which is an extra $50. The SLP reg or some other low pressure reg is also needed with a g6r to stop leaking issue and to get better efficiency.(Edit: The SLP reg works best but adjustable regulators can also work well when you lower the output pressure. the main point is that a standard, unadjusted, output pressure of an average regulator will cause more leaks. Yes it will work but you may need to change more o-rings)

Ergonomics: I personally like the G6R. Its a little longer(reg to trigger frame), no macroline, and its lighter. The G6R also has the better trigger.

Shot quality: G6R has a softer shot. Ego can be tuned to be nice, from what I have heard, but G6Rs have always shot softer for me.

Air Efficiency (shots per fill): G6R wins by many pods. It's one of the most efficient markers on the market.

Maintenance: Ego by far. Ego has probably the easiest maintenance among high end guns. G6r also works better with dow 55 which is a little more difficult to find.

Reliability: Egos are know to shoot reliably, abuse them as much as you want, as long as you add a couple drops of lube here and there.

Sound Signature: The G6R is quieter than the Ego. It might be one of the quietest poppits made.

Conclusion: The G6R is the better marker, even though it's maintenance is more extensive, but the Ego is low maintenance and reliable.

In all honesty the G6R will perfomr better but I actually like the Ego 11 more. I find it to be a bit more reliable and easier to work on. I dislike that the G6R requires you have a whole tank dedicated to it because it needs LP or SLP.

Not really. If you have an adjustable Ninja tank then you van use a G6R. I hate the stereotype that G6R's NEED a SLP reg to work.
