I planned on making one but it is too time consuming at the moment. For now, I will work on the Podcast and hopefully I can find time in between class, work and TechPB to work on an iPhone application.

The application idea I had in mind was of the following:

1. TechPB videos (would actually be easier to implement now that the podcast is being built but if you want it to have Youtube functionality such as comment and rate the Youtube video that is a bit tougher to do).
2. All the manuals that are on TechPB
3. Field/Store locator
4. One of those "how fast can you shoot" games
5. TechPB ebay listings

Other possibilities: Embed the radio show (I know uStream has an API I can look into) and Embed the TechPB Chat but I think it is flash based so that is a no go.

But for now keep dreaming about this application because I am too busy with the TechPB podcast and my own projects. If TechPB wanted to hire someone to do this, they are looking at a minimum of $10,000+ just for this application... More like just for the Youtube part of the application (I spoke with developers on the best way to do this and they wanted me to pay $8,000 for the method).

for the speed test you can go to

http://www.killsomet...game.asp?ID=649

you can watch the videos on youtube, and browse the forums on Safari mobile.

you have a great idea, but i dont really see the need for a youtube functionality, exept to a bookmark the videos that are most helpful to you.
but being able to access the fourms from the app would be BOSS-isn't that somthing kitty could do?

Please don't make it so you need to have internet connection to watch the videos. I don't get wifi while at my field.

That would be nearly impossible unless I can some how release an application that is over 15+ gigabytes in size. I'll have the podcast finished in about a week so you can have those videos downloaded to your iPod. I am just under 8 gigabytes of video at 180 videos so far.

Why? iPhones can go on the internet, meaning they can go to YouTube.

TechPB has better ways to spend their money than making it slightly easier for people to watch their videos on iPhones...

How many of us have iPhones anyway?

I hate Apple, I have a Zune.

When I have time, I'll be developing the TechPB App for free so no cost is involved. None of the ideas I have are finalized and I think the first step is to get the podcast up and running before an iPhone Application is even considered.

I have the first generation iPhone and find that syncing through iTunes is the best way to update podcasts. If an app were made, perhaps it could just use YouTube links.

As many apps are available, I'm sure there must be code out there that is readily available for free that would let you do what you're after. The problem is finding it and then implementing it.

That's the bad thing about computer programming. The most mundane of actions requires complex coding.

1 million for ishoot? its fun for like a week... then its meh. but did he really sell like 1 million copies? i mean its one of those simple games that are fun (like good old papijump + or dactyl 2) that last a long time. but 1 mill is a lot!
