I'm a new member as is the person that I am looking to trade with and I'm kind of skeptical on it can any offer advice or ways to go about it, because I would really love to do the trade.

Check if he is in player's club. Ask if he is willing to ship first. Ask for positive feedback. If any of these three things occur, he should be good to go. Make sure to get an address and name though. Occasionally that can help you in the long run. Also see how many posts he has. If it is a significant amount, he is most likely legit. Good Luck!
PS: Also talk to the mods. They are very helpful when it comes to BST.
