Metadyne Thumper - Dust black After a 9 month wait...

Yep, I actually got my Thumper in today. It has been nearly 10 months (I ordered the 28th of December) but I FINALLY got it. It is already up for sale, but I figured that I would put out some pictures anyway. Unfortunately, there will be no shooting video of this thing, lol. I plan to just dump it and be done with the whole ordeal. The gun doesnt look too bad. The pump action is actually kind of nice, and I am sure that with the thump paddle attached, it will be a very fast little pump. I was pretty impressed on how easily the trigger goes off. It is borderline unsafe how easy it is. It just takes a small nick on the trigger, and the thing fires. (not that I have shot it, but you still cock it, and then pull the trigger to hear the click)

Anyway, I tried to clean it up the best I could. The thing was covered in some white dust stuff, and particles from the packing peanuts. (it doesnt come in its own box. Just a plastic bag with a note saying to watch their youtube video manual) There are still some particles on the gun, but short of blasting it with air (kids are sleeping) I dont see me getting it cleaner. The dust black on this thing is pretty coarse, and attempts to clean it with a microfiber rag left it worse off than when I started, lol.

Looks really nice in dust black, I submitted 200 entries to name this thing, and they went with "Thumper", bastards :P

Yeah, the worst part is that the Blight won. And they even announced it the winner. And then they didnt name it the Blight... Makes you wonder what the point of the contest was, lol.

And I am selling it because the whole ordeal left a sour taste in my mouth, and I dont foresee me playing pump anytime soon. I am afraid that I would break something on it, or it would have a problem, and then I would end up waiting 9 more months for parts, lol.

It was heavily discounted due to the pre-order. 200 bucks for the gun if you bought it back when I did, and it costs 400 now. Plus they gave me a Deadlywind Fibur for just 30 bucks, so it was a double sweet deal. Just a long, pain in the ass time to get it... I figured that there is no way I can lose money on it.

I shot one of these and did not even know it lol. This guy at my field had one but i did not realize it was the infamous thumper.

Does it have the latest piston (v3 stainless I believe)? That solved most of the issues people were having.

It should have all of the updated parts. I was told that it has the best parts out at the time of shipment, which was September 2nd. I have not opened it up to find out, though.
