need autococker help!

Hey guys,

I bought an oddessy O3M cocker, and halfblocked it. I then put a pump kit on it. Now the cupseal is broken, but my friend told me that i dont have a standard autococker valve. Can you tell me if an autococker valve will fit in this cocker?

It might be an 11/16 valve.

what would be the best valve for it?

i vaguely recall back in the day someone saying that the merlin an oddessy o3m share the same non-traditional valve size. if so a madman or tornado valve will fit. but i would wait for someone else to corroborate this...it was a long time ago

Just because the valve is different doesn't mean a standard 'cocker cupseal won't work.
If I'm not mistaken, that valve size is actually Spyder-spec.
Spyder and 'Cocker cupseals are interchangable for the most part, though the metal stems are not.

Before you buy a new cupseal, you might be able to restore the old one but running the sealing face back and forth across some fine grit sandpaper. Doing that will often create a nice smooth surface that allows it to seal again like new.

take the reg off run 850 psi through the gun if you can get it to not leak. let it sit overnight and in the morning the cup seal will have reformed and will seal properly. a slick trick a good friend of mine showed me, and he has been building his own cockers and working as a local teching god at MPG (sniff they closed) for a long time.
