Hey Ray!

I just got my tank in the mail and I love it!!! I just have a small problem, and it might be an error on my part. When I got the tank I replaced the Brass with the Aluminum bonnet, then decieded, because the Vice runs better on Low Pressure, to change the shims. There's my Problem, there are only 3 shims, 2 red and 1 thin silver. My question is this, was it shipped wrong, did I make a mistake, or do they only get shipped with 3 shims now? Any help would be great and if indeed I need 2 thin silver ones to have LP I'd love to get it some how.

Thanks!!

-Lucas

Lucas,

This is a very common question that we get about the number of shims in a ninja reg. The red shims provide most of the pressure adjustment, the silver shims provide a very minor adjustment.

Because everything that is made has a tolerance each ninja reg will be slightly different. We test every ninja reg and will put in the silver shims to make sure that the output pressure is correct before it leaves here. Most of the regs will have 2 silver shims, some may only have 1 or some may have 3. This will ensure that every reg goes out at approximately 800 psi. When you adjust the ninja reg just remove or add the red shims as needed and leave the silver shims in the reg. If for some reason you want a lower pressure then 500, 650 or 800 then you can remove the silver shims.

In your case if you remove the 2 red shims and leave the 1 silver shim you will get approximately 500 psi output pressure. If you remove the silver shim this will lower the output pressure more.

Hope this helps and if you have any more questions just post on here.

Ray

Alright, so if I want low pressure I just need to use the one small thin silver shim?? Will it hurt the tank if I only use the 1 shim that was in the reg. Is it also a problem that I changed the brass to the aluminum bonnet, like you said, all the regs are tested, but this one is different now that I have the aluminum. So will there be any repercussions?

Thanks again Ray!!

i bought yalls 68/4500 tank a good while ago probably about 2 months ago. it is a amazing tank and i love the thing but i never really looked it over to hard when i got it and i did the other day. i noticed a small dent on the bottom of the tank and you can tell that it was done during production and i was wonderin if it was to late for it to be taken care of.

the black coating on the outside has not been scratched or anything that is why i am assuming it was done during manufacturing.

and for everyone that is readin this dont take this as they are a bad company this is one of the top companys in paintball i have delt with!!!!!! companys make mistakes it happens no biggie

PM me plz and ty

the system is a Grey Ghost. it is a plain grey tank with no name brand. The grey ghost is a heavier and does not look as nice, it also does not have the mini fill valve. the grey ghost still has a ninja style regulator which will perform the same.

Sorry but i see no reason to hide an answer in a PM.

You are correct that the problem was most likely done in production and will not affect performance or safety of the tank in any way.

If you do want to return the system then you can PM all your info to me and i will issue an RA# so that you can send it back in for replacement as long as the bottle is in good condition.

so it should have no issue with a hydro when it comes time for it even though it is dented?

I cannot guarantee that but any good hydro tester will see that it is under the gel coat and that the gel coat layer is not broken or disturbed.
The best answer that i can give you is that you should send the tank to us when it is ready for hydro. That way i will pass it because i know about the tanks.

If i buy the additional alluminum bonnet is there any way to ask for it to be installed before i get it? Or do i have to do it myself. I know how i have seen your videos but just kind of lazy. :) Also is there a way i can say i am from Techpb to show that your support is working?

My new 50/4500 should be here today... The question I have is this. The order took almost a week longer due to Ninja redoing the regulators to get a better recharge rate. Can you advise what changed?

Thank you

If you put that in the special instructions or give us a call then yes we can put that on for you. Also put TECHPB in the special instructions and we will throw in some extra stickers!

Sorry for the delay but i do not know who told you that we were redoing the regs?

What happened is that the tank manufacturer missed a shipping date and is behind on the tank shipments. We have plenty of regs but we have to wait on the tanks sometimes.

would you know if the ninja 68/4500 would fit a dangerous power g3 stock without a drop forward or adjusting the ASA?

I have a CP micro razor drop forward and my 90/4500 fits fine. If you want I can send pics.

Hey ray, im in the market for a small 4500 tank, and was thinking about going with the 50 cu boobie. Anyways, I play mostly xball and speedball, is there any benefit of getting the 68 instead? Also, is there a tank cover out there that fits the 50? Thanks!

Because you mostly play speedball the 50 should be fine because you will be able to fill in between games. Remember that you will only get 800 shots from the 50 but the 68 will get you over 1000 shots. Unless you are a back player the 50 woulds be just fine.

I have been told that the NXE or smart parts tank covers fit the best.
