Im thinking about getting a new 04 Viking or 04 excal. Any advice? (what I should get for it, whether this is a good idea, ect.)

I've never owned, seen, nor shot either but would really like to get a viking myself. Vikings are easier to come by I think so go with that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but are excals the predecessors to vikings?

go with a viking. I find them more stable and reliable than an excal. the difference is that one is open bolt (viking) and one is closed bolt (excal). its been debated to death, but I like the 04 viking (like mine, hehe) over the 04 excal.

and you won't ever lose money on a gun investment by getting a viking. AKA markers are the cadillacs of the paintball industry..they will only go UP in value if you take care of them.

yea especially since im getting mine through dc. Im getting it custom milled to fit a ul frame, its gonna be beast

any other thoughts on this?
also, should i upgrade from the stock sidewinder to a 2-liter?

correct. and go with sidewinder reg if you're gonna stay under 20bps. only if you're consistently over 20bps go with 2L+

i absolutly LOVE my 03 excal, amazing gun, little more complicated than a viking, being a closed bolt gun, and alittle slower (tops out at 13/14bps) but amazing none the less

If u want a gun that will never break, be uber efficient, run at a low pressure, have NO kick get an excal, and be still good today. IF u want a gun that will be even more uber efficient, never break, compeat with guns 5 years newer get a viking. U cant go wrong with akalmp
