It's really sad because all his songs were great. I think I also heard somewhere that the entire Wish You Were Here album was dedicated to him. I believe Syd died of cancer 2006.

Great thread idea!

RUSH is my favorite band hands down. Then Zeppelin, Then its songs and albums from there.

Just a couple songs for the heck of it B)

For anyone that hasn't heard of Budgie they're like a cross of Rush Zeppelin and a little bit of AC/DC. zoom club and Bored with Russia are some of my favorites, but they've got a lot of great songs.

a truly classic artist ... for me, he is up there with dylan and lennon, as far as music flowing through him

there are probably lots of better versions of this out there, but i love his live performances..

rock and roll will never die

put on some headphones and let your ears bleed ! haha

I like a few songs from The Beatles, Zeppelin, Van Halen, Eric Clapton, etc. I'm not sure exactly what you are counting as classic rock, but I'm going to assume you mean anything before the punk rock era and this new shitty metal.

I can play pretty much any of the songs from artists like this on a guitar if that helps secure my position in the club...

I have played that song too many times in my car.
It's just good, weird and awesome at the same time.

The OP hasn't been on for a while, and even then, I dn't think he has been keeping up with new members ... BUT ... i would think you would def be in the club ... but i wouldn't want to put any words in the OP's mouth.
