Might as well. The only good cocker is an e-cocker.

Be like Odyssey, and drill the bodies for eyes from the factory, even though they never made an electro verion of any kind.

Forward thinking by them. :dodgy:

they way i look at it, there are only a few cockers out there that are a sin to alter from their factory condition... PBx (not much you can alter) Nexus Cockers, Westwoods, SFL's(if its not factory drilled, dont drill it)... i see no issue with wanting to put a pump kit on a Nexus body, as long as the factory parts are kept. same with pre2k cockers... if you want to tap the front block for 2k+ threading, go for it, if you want to replace the giant pre2k back block, go for it, just make sure you keep the factory parts...

i have a Kapp Lava Cocker a few years back, i beliebe it was a pre2k body, could be wrong though, and the guy i got it off of had replace the factory back block with some shitty Cole one with a threaded bolt... worst back block/bolt i've ever seen... i never could find a match anodized factory back block... killed the resale value of the gun

If you want to go with a +2k bolt then you need a backblock also due to the different bolt lengths and back block spacing . Basically any +2K backblock that looks good will work and then you can use a +2k bolt.

I would buy used from mcarterbrown or customcockers.

Pbgateway.com has them listed for 495... That's a fair price for what you get. I don't mind that the sear and auto trigger are not user serviceable... From what I've seen it's a sweet shooter all around

it's not the serviceable part that bothers me - it's just that the sear latch grabs at about 75% of the pump stroke instead of at the end of it. Feels wrong and results in a soupy mess until you're used to it.

no idea on the hammer itself... but the IVG looks similar to a rex dialer in that it uses a smaller spring incased in a SS housing... most IVG's that i've used are a simple brass screw that fits in the back o the lower tube... not a SS slug like that

after i look at it again... it dawned on my that the lower tube sleeve for the Spankies might not be threaded, so that could well be a spany IVG or one that was custom made for guns like Spankies that have a press fit sleeve for the lower tube... if you want to upgrade, or change IVG's, your only bet may well be a Rex Dialer... was this IVG held in place by the beaver tail retention screw?

Yeah the bottom tube is not threaded for standrd ivgs. And it is held in by the beavertail screw. So im just gonna get the belsales upgrade kit, might as well

Why not just keep that? It's has novelty cool to it and does exactly what a Rex does

a rex wont be any easier to adjust unless you get a back block that has an adjustment hole drilled into it

The threaded IVG was only added to WGP bodies in '98. Spanky bodies with the tube inserts always used the old style, which works just fine - I have 4 or 5 guns that use it.
