Difficult, but worth a shot. If you're going to pay the fine anyway, at least take a bit to question his calibration of the radar, or the last time he was signed off on training with the device. At least in NYS, they have requirements for both of those that go without enforcement, and in rare cases have caused speeding violations to be dismissed. Again, rare, but it's nice to sometimes be a rare case where you aren't reamed in the ass for something minor.

Just some thoughts.

He didn't even used his radar - he paced me.

I would dispute it. Worse case, you pay the fine anyway.

That should be enough to at least say he couldn't be exactly sure of the speed. Or at least enough to try to get a lesser ticket.

Take it to court, and if you are lucky, the officer won't even show up to the court date. If he does show up, expect to pay the fine since he will be ready to take you down.

I decided I'd give WoW a try since it's free for twenty levels or so. I went to download it, and holy jeebus. Ten gigs? Christ, I didn't think the game would be THAT big. Given the fact that it took me a day and a half to download a 1 gig torrent with a high amount of seeders, I think that this download is going to take approximately forever.

Consider it a down payment on all the time you will be wasting once you get addicted.

Far be it from me to defend WoW, but it's not exactly the downloadable equivalent of crack. All the horror stories about people getting addicted and playing themselves/their babies to death are just that, horror stories. It happens, but it's not the rule.

Dispute the ticket, quite often cops won't bother to show up, if they're on duty they may be on a call, if they're off duty they likely won't want to go into court rather than having the day off. If he shows up, oh well, pay the ticket and take your lumps.

I dunno, man. Most people I know that have played WoW usually develop an unhealthy obsession with it at one point or another. Most.

I played WoW for 3.5 years. I quit early this spring and to tell you the truth, stay away. It may seem harmless and cheap but that's the hook, line, and sinker to throwing away tons of time.

I do not understand that meme. What does George Costanza in sunglasses have to do with anything?

Wait, apparently you can play it while the other not immediately necessary parts of it are downloading. Yay, now I can get a jump start on my 'addiction'!

Just remembering what happens in that scene makes me slightly nauseous. Tmaned is lost to us... Purge him from our histories.

When I saw that part for the first time, half of me burst out laughing, and the other half was wondering what the hell Michael Bay was thinking.
