Players must be no older than 17 by next June (to meet tournament requirements). Players may turn 17 after the first tournament of next year.
We are looking for serious players who are looking to improve their game and graduate from Young Guns to D4 possibly as soon as 2012. This program is being run under the Illinois Paintball Association, under the team Chicago Enforcers. Chicago Enforcers is currently a scenario team, and a D4 team that competes in the Midwest Xball League. Players who play with us will be playing Young Guns until the end of next season, then we will be making the jump to D4.
As for sponsors, we have ways of getting deals at the fields listed below, however we will not be applying for a major sponsorship until next season when we have possibly won some tournaments.
Requirements:
-Players must be financially responsible to make all practices and pay their tourney dues. Discounts will be given at practices.
-Must be willing to learn and take advice from their peers.
-Have the drive to win and be aggressive.
-Have their own equipment. We do NOT require you to have top of the line equipment, however we do require you to have your own reliable equipment. This includes a good mask, loader, tank, a modern electronic marker (no shitty guns, we are being serious here.) , paintball pants, cleats/shoes, and optional knee and elbow pads. Regulations say you can only have 2 layers of clothing, this means an undershirt, and a jersey/ longsleeve. Team long sleeves will be ordered before the tourney.
All players must also be able to get transportation to Fox Paintball, CPX Sports, Paintball Explosion, and Ohare Paintball, and be available on Saturdays and Sundays. We understand that you have other responsiblities and we will be lenient on some practices while others will be mandatory. If you are at every practice grinding hard, and need a day off, we understand. However, don't expect us to keep you on the team if you are absent from practices or are unwilling to learn.
Pending first practice/tryouts date is August 13th at PBE. We will not be doing a full try out, where players will be cut and so on. We just want to evaluate your skills and put you where you need to be to best utilize your skills.
We are looking to possibly have up to 7 practices before the first event we will be playing, which is the September 25th tourney at Fox paintball. First day of practice/ tryouts is August 13th!
