Hebiki, how does the empire sniper compare to the ccm 6.5?

Its kinda like a high end vs a really high end electro.. A normal clone vs a GT.. the lower is almost on par, and does the job damn well fine, but it isn't the cadillac ;) Just because the car gets you from point a to point b, doesn't mean its the one your gonna go to prom in ;)

GT was perfect again today...........boring. :dodgy:

:D

How well does your spire and gt combo work? I want to try out the spire, but someone told me they feed off of motion from a shot.. the drawback being on a smooth shooting marker such as a Clone GT they might not always pick up a shot and not always feed.. true? I find it hard to believe but the thing doesn't have any kick sooo..

I personally LOVE the spire. not sure if you guys followed my Q&A series.... but the Spire has YET to jam on me. i've used everything on it. New ultra evil, old ultra evil.. new field paint.. old field paint.. paint stored properly.. paint baking in my garage.. it fed ALL OF IT. Get a spire and NEVER look back.

MZ and Richy are dead on. there's a difference in quality. the best example i can think of is going from a toyota corolla to lexus' flagship sedan. Or in paintball terms...an etek3/4LT to a ego CSL. :)

but if you just wanna "dabble" in pump.. not get serious about it. not have to worry about $600 sitting in your gear bag collecting dust and paint particles, get the Empire Sniper. I personally dont like having a high end that doesnt get used (thats why I got rid of my Vapor, it was never gonna get used when I had my CloneGT as my primary. :)

in other news.. i should be receiving my aqua camo CloneGT after Decay of Nations.

first thing noticiable off the bat is the pump stroke. CCM 6.5 is definitely easier to stroke even with 2 return springs in it. It's like going from a unbalanced spool to a balanced one. That alone makes it much better than the sniper imo.

However, when it comes to non-pump related features, I'd say the sniper shines better, especially in the asa imo.

Honestly the ASA and Feedneck are the only things the Sniper did right.

They both are better than CCM's designs.

However, the Sniper just feels ba when you play with a CCM.

Thanks guys! After all that I actually saw someone with the sniper today at the field. He says he won it at some bidding site, but only used it 2x today as he wasnt liking it.
If I was impressed with it, I would have made an offer but it kind of had a slight farting sound I didn't like too much

Well it's leaking from the noid and the only think I haven't tried is the noid manifold orings, so I ordered some of them.

Hopefully that fixes it, otherwise it's a cracked valve.

It shot ok at CvZ, albeit I put 3 cases through it.

poly orings breaking in nicely.

stock dwell.. OP is at 105psi...... FPS at 290ish.

i will relube the drivetrain, then get a good paint to bore match..and rechrono. then measure OP again.

i have about 1500 paintballs left. and two full 68s.. will run all that paint through this weekend.. maybe in a "mock" efficiency" test.
