The hate on SP was them getting sue-happy and sueing a lot of companies for their patents that SP had.

There was a few things. First by far was their business practices. Sue happy people lol. If they saw something that even remotely resembled one of their patents they jumped on it. Second was the way handled their markers after the SFT came out. Back in 03 a stock SFT was pretty sweet. I wanted one so bad but my impy at the time shot fine so there was no need. But as time went on, 04...05...06 the SFT never changed. Still a garbage board with no settings, shitty feedneck (eventually they got smart and just put a QLock on standard), and that crappy quarter turn ASA they had are just a few things. comparably at the same time there were huge advances in guns from other companies like Dye/Proto, Blast, and Planet. People started to get pissed. Then they came out with the NXT. The QLock, Break beam eyes, and a freak barrel came standard but for the most part it was the same gun and a lot of people got fed up and switched to different guns. Even pro teams shooting SP guns were often seen with SFT's up untill they went under. How ofter do you find a stock SFT for sale? Generally they're upgraded to high hell. All things aside I love my SP guns and i love shooting shockers.

Yeah I was just curious, my feeling was what you said which was that they werent changing their marker much.

I figured there was more to it though. I just find it strange for how smooth they shoot everybody still hates on them.

Well a lot more hate came from the Ion and when that got old they just replaced "Ion" with Smart Parts"

Which I dont understand when people still say they hate the Ion. Correct me if im wrong but doesnt The vibe uses the same design as the ion? but people love the vibe.

Ions were only a pain to maintain, XE's are sooo much better. Though, I did love my Ions.

Ehh Alien ware is soo pricey, and since dell makes them now you can get a pretty comparable dell labeled pc (buisness ones are the best imo, because of the more powerful graphics cards). I love my vostro 3750 but thats a laptop.


Im tempted to try an ion but Im thinking its best to stick with the shocker for my bro. Tbh im not even sure how much Im going to be using my shocker cause I have an warped RT and a Ego 10. I just am really curious how they shoot though.

Im just curious how do all the big bricks shoot when compared to each other (like icd bko vs the rat for example)? Do they all shoot smiliarly due to their weight and form?

Similiar, but not the same. Just as different than an ego vs. g6r. Impulses cycle faster and have less blowback from my experiences, but my BKO is quite smooth, it has some minor blowback issues, so when firing fast it tends to break paint. But it lacks eyes where the Impulse has them.

The impulse cost more when new though, compared to the BKO.
