reusable FS rounds.. dummies, for better ideas.

So since i am thinking bout building a FS capable marker.. id like to be able to check that an FS round will always work with the mod, but i dont want to have to dea lwith the possibility of it breaking..

So im thinking of like getting rid of all the paint inside with like a syringe of some kind, and filling it back up with some sort of epoxy or glue just to use like a Reball..
Would something be useable, or would it just be deformed and useless?

also what would be best to use for it? like waht kind of filler?
i may also be setting up like a reball catcher area, to test cycle the project gun when i get to that stage.. so, would it be nicely reusable?

That may work for the paintball portion, but you'd still have to worry about the skirt of fins. You could fill in the back cavity formed by the skirt with more epoxy or glue, because you're not worried about the aerodynamic properties or weight of the round, just that they function in the gun. FS rounds are made of a stressed plastic, so you should safely be able to take out the paint and re-fill them without changing the shape.

Yes i know those.. but i also need FS rounds since thats what the project will hopefully be able to use.... plus si woundt want to spend the day before a game just glueing on the fins to like 100 balls..

Id probably add a little laryer to reinforce the skirt a bit.. i may actually fill it with something a diifferent color ,just to mark it..

Now just wondering what to fill it with..
Id probably just use like some Elmers Gel glue, sinc ei have some uselsssly lying around.. or maybe not..

Wait do you intend to use these in game, or just as a tester?

Because in game I don't think it would work that well, but as a tester I would just make a mold and fill it with hot glue, or epoxy.

Take a mold of them and a first strike round, then fill it with a material and you will be good.

mmmh, make a mold.. but id still have to get the real one t make a mold of it.. and how would i do so?

I intent to use these as a paintball version of Snapcaps for real firearms..

you could probably use molding silicone like this Silicone to mold the round, and im pretty sure it would be reusable.

I fucking got it... i got the idea while doing a home project..
Silicone, for like bathtubs and kitchens and such.. I think i have some lying around..

Delrin works fine, and is almost exactly the same weight as the original round.

@OP You could perhaps cut the skirt off of one and glue it to a reball.

That almost looks too uniform to be done by hand. However, if you really did dremel that thing, you've got skills.

Not to necro, but the plastic one is from a thread on the tiberius arms forums. The guy who actually made it used a 3dthread printer. These were made to be used as test rounds only. The guy planned on selling them but tiberius arms contacted him and asked him not to since if these got used in a game, they could hurt someone and then first strikes would be seeing bans at even more fields, making their sales go down.
