I'm debating between this and mw3. With skyrim I'll never run out of things todo unlike cod, but if I wait for a long time to get cod I'll be really behind everybody. I can get skyrim whenever I want and not be behind. Whichever one I don't get I'll ask for for christmas. This is probably going to give me biased answers but which one should I get

What the?! I got hit once by a Giant and I shot up in the sky for something like 500feet or something.

That was both sad, since I died, but hilarious at the same time.

The part that I advice you to get Skyrim? Yeah of course I do, Skyrim is a great game that will give you 10 times as many hours of fun gameplay at least.

Or the part with "it's just a game", so Call of Duty is just as/more important to you than school would be? OK then, you should probably get MW3.
But if you don't go to school, and then won't get a decent job, how will you be able to afford MW4,5,6,7,8,9 or 10?

Haha, I had this happen to me about 30 minutes ago. Still a couple of bugs in the game, I think.

I've been playing a solid 15 hours so far, and I have some complaints about it, but overall, I love it. I almost want to go pick up all the collectors edition stuff because it is so awesome.

Stuff I don't like:

1. No magic with bows? WTF! My primary in Oblivion was a Breton with conjuration, illusion, and marksman specialties. Can't do that now.
2. You have to play the intro to the game any time you start a new character. I've tried several so far, and it gets repetitive doing that first 30 minutes over and over again. I liked Oblivion, how you could save at the end of the sewer and change everything. But it's not a terrible deal.
3. Dual wielding is slow and clumsy with anything but daggers.
4. Hot key system on PC is a little clumsy
5. Getting used to the new GUI. Very confusing for the first couple of hours, but once you get used to it, it works great.

Stuff I do like:

1. Magic... Magic, Magic, Magic... Holy shit. Dual wielding fireballs. Using a shield and destruction as primary. Conjuring Atronach and blade at the same time. Using Heal and Lightning at the same time. Everything about the magic is spectacular. It feels WAY overbalanced, and yet, the game is still just hard enough to make you want to use bigger spells.
2. Level ups. I read that there were going to be skills to level up in this one, and immediately thought it would be like Oblivion - Powerleveling useless skills to balance out your base stats and all that crap. Nope. The game levels up what you use, and you can select where to spend your power up point. So many different possibilities for building up your character, it is amazing.
3. Random Dragon battles. When I first started seeing the dragons, it was always with an NPC leading me there, and I thought it was going to be boring knowing exactly when you were going to fight one. Wrong. I was wandering around on a mountain, and the next thing I know, this fucking dragon comes swooping down on top of me, breathing ice up my ass.
4. How smooth everything meshes together. The wildlife, NPCs, towns, environments, everything. Even on slightly dated hardware, it all looks great, and plays perfectly.

I'm sure there will be more to come on both sides as I play further into the game. Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to go restart my Breton Conjurer and optimize him, now that I know exactly how I want to play.

Purchased Breezehome in Whiterun for 5000 gold... man they make the houses even dirtier than Oblivion did.

Just watched a mammoth fight a dragon... mammoth kicked it's ass. Then I ran in and took the final few blows.


Should be "mammoth born" not dragon.

How many dragons have you guys randomly encountered? I'm only 8 hours in, and I've killed 4 plus the first one. I feel like that's alot.

I have ran into 2 randomly, and 1 at the tower for the quest.

Been playing 11 hours and 38 minutes.



Just found a new word. Fire, Fire Breath... now I just need a dragon soul.

It's really annoying sometimes when I randomly encounter them, because the dragon bones/scales are really valuable, but really heavy. So I find myself sloooooowly walking to a shop to sell it.

Well the Fire Breath shout looks pretty much just like Unrelenting force... except it's red with fire instead of the blue color.

It was a good thing I read about the bug with giants here before I encountered them. Just fought some, and saved as soon as I saw them. Their third swing sent me flying. The funny things is, my follower got tagged like that once I loaded, and it was a good 45 seconds before she managed to show back up. I should have hit a shop before this though, because I was still weighted down with dragon stuff, just to end up finding 3 magical pieces on those giants. And since I was on my way somewhere, I still didnt stop. Now I find myself finding stuff non-stop, with no room. UGH! And the stuff has enough value that I will need to find 3-4 shops to even sell it all...

Oh god, yeah. The trolls in this game are fucking brutal. I made the mistake of getting a little too close to one with my level 14 Breton, and a single punch combo killed me, even with 160 HP.

I'm not sure I like the new combat system. Shield bash takes up way too much stamina, but it's one of the few things that will break an enemies shield. I need to create a dedicated warrior and see if there are some Block perks to fix that.

Trolls are REALLY easy for any character with some block skills. There is a skill that slows down time whenever you are blocking against a powerful attack, and all Troll attacks are considered the powerful type. Every single swing they take allows you to easily circle them. I love fighting trolls and mammoths, because I know those two mobs cant touch me. Mammoths you just spring up to, and get on the side of them, and start slashing. As they turn, you turn, and just stay planted in their belly. They will never be able to hit you, minus MAYBE a hit when you are first getting up the them. Multiple ones are problematic, though, lol.
