 got a clone v2 with cammer and vx engine and gold bolt on the way

but get this...a friend of mine just got an axe for $40!!!!!

some stupid kid whose parents bought him the gun was selling for 150 on a local site, so i told him he better pick it up, turns out they had been running co2 though it, so he goes to check it out and see if it works, shoots good and all and he takes it apart and theres old paint in it and he starts making stuff up about this is the reason u cant use co2 in the gun and this and that and tells him basically its no good and only good for parts and was able to talk this idiot down to 40 hahaha

i went to check it out, the bolt guide is a bit hard to to turn and theres some breech wear (prolly didnt lube it or was dirty) and they put some big screw on the battery cover, but we checked the solenoid and cleaned it and everything and the gun shoots fine lol

 </p>

This kind of disgusts me.
So taking advantage of some misinformed kid is cool now ?
I mean I'm not saying he should pay top dollar or some shit but being a lying scum bag & flat out making shit up to take advantage of someone just makes him look like a dick.

As much as I agree with you, the kid's parents should have stepped in, and also make the kid read the instruction manual. Why ever would anyone buy a mid end marker and run C02 through it when the instruction manual clearly stats "NO C02"

i personally thought it wad funny, but like jurzy said should of read the manual and his parents should of been involved in the sale, but obviously they didnt really care much to begin with since asking price on a $500 gun was 150 and it wasnt properly maintained so if they r dumb enough to let it go for 40 thats their own probelm, and i think my friend said he was like 13 or 14 so hes old enough to kind of know whats going on

I'm 14, and have enough sense to realize Co2 is NOT for a mid-end marker, and it is worth more than $40...

Well, I think that I will eventually get a Redline grip this year. Sure, I can't justify it as a performance upgrade, but I sure can justify it as a luxury. Plus, if I get a new bolt, new feedneck, and Redline grip, I can hold myself off from a high-end for a while...

Well that is certainly true.
My upgraded Axe has honestly shocked the hell outta me at every turn.
If you handed me an Ego 11 I'd sell it buy another Axe just like the one I have & pocket the extra cash.

As much as I'd love to own a high-end, the Axe can compete with them just fine. I don't want drop serious cash on another marker (my pro-shop couldn't give me THAT great of a deal on an Axe, probably $350 at best, so I'll still have $900 to make up). Adding a Redline, new bolt, and Nano feedneck would give me a marker that rivals the features of a high-end, but is still the Axe I know and love. Maybe I'd nab that grip extender if I ever feel one.

Like if you bought the redline you would still have money left to play? And your axe is stock as of right now?

This would be bought with birthday cash, or a special envelope fund, so I'd keep money for playing, then slowly add to my envelope for the Redline. That's how I got all my LL5 cash. Saved my Christmas cash, and slowly worked up from there.

Oh I see, hope you're able to get one Space!

Gotcha, that is smart thinking haha. I keep my money in an envelope but I don't have multiple envelopes for saving up for stuff... I should do that lol, or put money in my savings account.
