Whenever I shoot a lot of paint and not get anyone out.... or when I throw pods and they break.

I threw a pod to my friend, and lets just say it didn't go as far as I planned, needless to say, I had to take apart his Mini, and his Spyder fasta. It took me 2 hours to clean gear that wasn't mine.

thinking tippmann's were the best guns. EVER and that angels were good but if you did anything but pull the trigger electronic tournament guns broke
thinking longer barrels were better

In the middle of a match I thought my gun had chopped so I put my finger inside my barrel and BAM I shot myself in the pinky

When i first started I wanted a Tiberius sniper rifle with a 12x scope and a ghillie suit.

Then I played speedball for the first time with a loaner gun. I no longer cared for Milsim after that.

When my Tippmann 98 ran out of air when I first started playing and started doing the rapid fire sputtering and I thought I had broken my marker. :(

My two sons had started playing paintball and my oldest - he was about 14 and had saved up his money and bought something called a 'Smart Parts Impulse'. (It was the first model). I knew nothing about paintball at the time. The boys talked me into playing. While we were waiting for the game to start, my son said his gun wasn't working right. It would shoot, but the paintball wouldn't come out. We looked it over and had no clue what the problem was. I was afraid to touch the thing.

Then an old grizzled veteran we nicknamed 'Sarge' came over. He looked at it, shot it once. Pulled the bolt out, rotated it 180 degrees, and put it back in. The gun worked just fine after that. That was the day we learned about bolts in paintball guns.

I put my auto cocker bolt in upside down once after the first time I cleaned it, took everyone at my field 3 hours of tooling around before we figured it out lmfao

Buying a Spyder Victor because the guy that got me into paintball told me that electros weren't reliable and that they always break down...

Whilst reffing a game, I told a kid to stop shooting full auto. He had some sort of higher-end gun and shooting crazy fast compared to everyone else. He said that he wasn't and pulled the trigger once and held down to prove he wasn't. He continued to unload in the following games.

I didn't know how ramping worked....

Bought a barrel kit for better accuracy.
Last summer I worked full time and had an unlimited budget to get whatever I want, so I bought a $250 gun

I just started playing a few weeks back so it is still fresh in my head.

We play on a scenario field. I'm with my team at the start point. I tell a few of them that I had no clue what to do. Friendly bunch of guys. They say run to that wall and shoot at anyone coming toward you. Sounds simple of enough. I follow directions to the letter. Guy comes toward me I step out and start pulling the trigger as fast as I can. Guy pauses for a second then keeps coming. What the hell where are my "bullets" going! Guy stops about 15 feet away raise his gun and shoots me 1 time and runs past.

As I walk off the field a referee is waving me over laughing. He tells me "um man, you have to take the barrel cover off for the gun to work!"

When I rented the gun the guy had told me the safety rules. Keep you barrel cover on at all times and mask on at all times while on the field. I guess he assumed that a 38 year old man would know to take the cover off during the game!

Bad news is I embarrassed the hell out of myself!
Good news is everyone knows I'm the new guy so they are all helping me learn the ropes!

Charles
