they do hit with less force it felt like 10 to 15 feet but i didn't really measure it, i didn't have that much of a problem with bounces since i live in a colder area. i will say that its not meant to be used as a long shot marker you should be focused on closed target and supressive fire. ive taken a lot of people out with the .50 cal i love it, but its not for everyone and its not for every situation for the opening charge it will be perfect.
