Received my new barrel mount for the ContourHD camera. high quality aluminum construction with padding to protect your barrel. Uses 5 sets screws. 1 to secure the mount to the barrel, and 4 smaller ones to keep the Contour from sliding. So far, this is the LEAST clunky looking barrel mount for the Contour.

As you can see in the pictures, it disappears when looking down the barrel. You can see more about the mount here: http://www.nummech.c...tourbarrel.html

Wow, only $20, not a bad price at all. Sure it's not as well as the camera meant for the R7 mount, but the Contour and this mount is like what, half the price or so?

You could mount it upside down, but you'd need to rotate your video using software.
This guy used his upside-down... http://tinyurl.com/77g5nrl

That video was using the waterproof case, which doesn't fit on the standard barrel mount...so if you use a waterproof case then contact me for the special version.
Thanks for the post, if you upload videos send the links!!

How does the weight of the camera feel out there??

I have been considering barrel mounting. I am tired of it tugging on the side of my mask.

Although, if you get a second contour, it would be cool to use them both, like TechPB Mike, at the same time.
