So, I bought a rainmaker. I expected it to come in in functioning order, but insted I got a pile of shit.
The board is disconnected to the 4 way, no battery harness, and no shroud. I figure I may as well finish what the guy started.
Feel free to help me out along my endever, as I will probobly need it

This will be my journey through which I hope to make a functioning rainmaker

Day 1: Rainmaker arrives, in pieces. I believe this is how the wiring goes, I need to buy a 9 volt batterey harness. Can anybody verify if this is correct?

I don't even...

Honestly, I would try MCB over TechPB for something like this.

I show up at a field that I never been to before for some rec-play wearing cargo pants with a t-shirt....carrying a old mech Spyder and two pringle potato chip cans for pods shoved in the pants pockets. The stares are priceless and after the first game or so you get to see the grins from the ref and players who know....priceless.

okay so I just quickly looked at my rainmaker.
The wiring harness:
-the button switch is the trigger switch and it's correct
-those 2 black wires do connect to the mac valve
-the on/off switch you can just splice into the either the negative or the positive of the battery pack. Mine is spliced into the positive.

originally they were just ziptied under the ram, but the frame with the dye stickies has a aftermarket mac mount which your valve will attach to.

Oh ok, so I have most everything, so I may get soldering today hopefully.

I am also using a 4 AA pack since it is the older board.

Ok, Just found some solder that will work well, and a batterey pack.

And yes please to the hoses, I am a little confused as to where they go.

Ooh rainmaker.... BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!

How's your main pressure? How's the valve condition?
It's basically a backwards sheridan-style valve in there.

could it possibly be the cup seal?

I'm not sure what pressure the reg is running at, It is a ccm reg.

The bolt needs to be forward when you air it up, sometimes they will leak if you air the gun up with the bolt in the rearward position. Just take the bolt cover off and push it forward with your finger. It's more then likely the valve seal is dry. It's located behind the HPR, the reg is held into the body with 2 allen bolts. Rainmakers LOVE lube!!!!!
I'd personally replace the o-rings inside the whole marker, there is a pretty good chance that they are over 8 years old.
Does the gun cycle?
