In chat why don't we just take out Green and red for non mods? I know It should be self controlled, but the button is still there, and you know some people are about buttons.

I was thinking about some rule that would help new forum members (<30 posts) feel more welcomed into our community, I dont what it includes or what not, just food for thought.

It would be great if we could do that, however I believe our forum software does not allow it.

It's a spectrum color code. We don't control that part and there is millions of shades that would need to be removed.

Would it be possible to perhaps just remove the buttons? If I'm correct there's a limited choice, just 1 column of green and 1 column of red.

Not to condescend you, but just curious. I thought the full spectrum tool, was a slider across something sort of like this:

But we only have a select few?

Also curious, how come the search bar is limited to no less than three character words?

The chat is just something we have added to the site..we dont control how it works. We can't disable things like we can in the forum.
As for your search question, I'm not sure. I'll let slink answer that one

I'm about two months late, but the chat color chooser does have that. In the color chooser, there's three tabs (swatches, HSB, and RGB). The first one has the swatches, or sample colors, the second tab has the spectrum chooser (HSB), and the third tab allows you to use R/G/B sliders to pick a color.
