Well, looking at the other DoN Thread in the Scenario Forums, I saw that AndrewtheWookie will not be attending DoN this year..I am sure he will be sorely missed.

However this doesn't mean that we shouldn't still have a TechPB Kill Squad!

I am Irish725, resident of Camp Pendleton CA (and one of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children) and I have volunteered to lead this squad, provided I don't have to be in the field (which may or may not happen, with my schedule who knows? lol)

I am posting up this thread in here to see WHO would be interested in joining a TechPB based squad, to take to the fields of SC VIllage and mow some faces!

If you'd like to be a part of this squad, post in here with your name, where you are coming from, and what your load out is!

Let's see what we are working with!

one of the best things about joining the TechPB Kill squad is that as a team you can save some money, meet new players and have fun mowing faces! lol

Since Irish is out, who will take up the mantle of leadership for the squad?

Reason I'm asking is that as a "team" you can at least get some kind of discount, especially if you call them up and ask. Last time I checked it get 6, the 7th (or captain) is free.

Patrick, Coronado, and I have a proto pm6 with a bob long 16 inch barrel, 68/45 tank, Frontman diablo hopper, Black proflex with rage band, dye attack pack with lock lids.

My buddy Chris would be interested but he does not have an account, that alright?

Of course it sounds hippocritical. To have a group based off a site then to bring in outsiders but I'm driving up there with the guy and he helped buy my ticket. Totally understandable if that's a no. Would like to edit my loadout, overload elbow pads and no attack pack, craigslist kinda messed me up.

Hebiki is a senior member here on the forums. He has been around and does a lot of stuff with the Southwest California forums, specifically he is the SoCal Ballers Club president.

I may be going still, they just changed field dates for me, to be the 15th of October through the 26th. Hence, as of right now, I plan on being there with bells on.

If you want to bring a friend, feel free, we aren't going to say "No" to anyone who wants to run with us, hell after all of this, maybe he will sign up for TechPB just to keep in touch!

Anyone is welcome, just as long as you are there to have a good time, play hard and party harder!

Alright. Thank you for the explanation, it's much appreciated. Ya I got my buddy into paintball and he's been my right hand man ever since. There was an aforementioned discount for a 'team/group' where exactly would these discounts be prevalent? Admission? Paint?
Furthermore, looking at the schedule I noticed they have a day for vendors previous to the event, would the vendors coming up a day early?
Logistically speaking, how exactly would the group be able to assemble? Asides from the avengers 'assemble'. There are over a thousand people at this event, unless we have a flag or a portrait of Mike, it won't be easy.

There was an aforementioned discount for a 'team/group' where exactly would these discounts be prevalent? Admission? Paint? It is only on admission as far as I know. That is something that someone has to take charge of. I know that Andrew led the squad one year, maybe he can chime in on that.
Furthermore, looking at the schedule I noticed they have a day for vendors previous to the event, would the vendors coming up a day early? Some vendors do get there Friday to setup early
Logistically speaking, how exactly would the group be able to assemble? Asides from the avengers 'assemble'. I can make a suggestion on assembling, When the camping map is finally posted, you can all discuss on where you all want to congregate together.

I hope I'm not stepping on toes, but I do want to help out as much as I can, even if we end up on the opposite sides lol

You are taking the much needed initiative. I'm not against having a mike portrait simply for sh*ts and giggles. And if it's only at at admission, then I may be at a loss. Already bought Tx at Tet. I doubt if we are an organized group that they would split us up. How do they even divvy up such a huge number of people?

This is based on past experience:
Established scenario teams will come out and let Giant know how many they are bringing as well as which side they want to play on. Giant will try to accommodate players, not on a team, to the side they chose when they pre-reg. Those that decide to pay on the day of the event, well ... I guess they are placed on the side that needs players.

That's why if you all go as a team, you enter the game as a team. What happens on the field is all up to you.

So I will be able to go, but I won't have time to be captain like last year. I can definitely help out with the logistics of everything, but that'll be about as much as I can officially do for now.

Stats, to be OT

Gun: REV-i or 09 Impulse
Loader: Rotor or Magna
Tank: PE 70/45
Mask: Grillz

Once you get a team going, call Jamal Freks Williams at Giant at 562-376-4622 and he may have a special or discount for the team. I don't know what it is tho.

Appreciate the help Gadget, I just don't want to say we'll have "X" number of players, and order say a half a skid, and then we only have Y number and have people paying out the ass. It may just be one of those "Everyone buy what they can afford and then as the weekend goes on, start to pool paint" deals.
