Yeah, that's normal. The hex on the back is part of the firing can. The c-clip is what's holding the donut on the firing can. Everything that's inside that skeleton kit is what's inside a stock Ion. It looks like he took off the plastic outer body, and put that one on.

so I still have to go through the long dissasembly to get to the bolt? And is it any differnt than a regular ion dissasembly? Other than than the whole it doesn't have a board or eyes thing?

Yes, in your case you'll still have to take off the frame, unscrew both banjos on the body, then take out the innards from the body, then unscrew the firing can. It's still a regular Ion, you just don't have to worry about a board or batteries.

Almost got to play with my ion today... Got to the field, aired it up and shot. Balls went about 2 feet. I didn't know what was going on so I took it to the front and after quite awhile we realized I should adjust the reg. Finally got it to chrono at about 240 and left it. One o-ring was torn though and I have no idea what size it is. Anybody know the size of the o-ring that is on the back most screw with a yellow hose going into it? I'll take a pic if you don't know what I'm talking about. Also, one of the hoses is leaking, what do I do to stop it? I by mistake pulled it off...

for some reason, my mech ion is being weird. It is chuffing, and cycling really slowely. Tried the stock bolt and the one that came with the kit, and it still does it.

Did you change anything, or did it start doing this randomly?

those damn hoses are a bitch. I've been fondling them for an hour trying to get them to stop leaking. Is it supposed to be that hard? Or am I just really dumb?

Hey guys, got my ion built today, only took about 2 and a half hours (kids interrupted a few times). Had one leak from ripping a hose using needle nose pliers to push it on. Went back and removed the banjo from the frame and pushed it on that way (no pliers this time). No leaks! Shoots awesome!
